Alcohol Use Screening (AUDIT-C) — Check Your Drinking

The AUDIT-C is the World Health Organization's short alcohol screening, used in clinics worldwide. Three honest questions about how often and how much you drink give a reliable picture of risk. It's private and judgment-free — nothing you enter leaves this page.

About this tool

Scoring: For men, 4+ suggests hazardous drinking; for women, 3+. Lower-risk guidelines generally advise no more than 2 drinks per occasion and several alcohol-free days weekly. If cutting down feels difficult, that’s useful information too — effective, confidential help exists and asking a doctor is a strong first step.
